Building Resilience: Why Nervous System Care Is Key to Avoiding Burnout
We can do anything, but not everything. We can have everything, but not all at once. These are some home truths that landed for me after I hit my 2nd burnout.
Our society praises overworking and hustle culture, often at the cost of our well-being and mental health.
Nervous System Hacks: How to Avoid the Top 5 Procrastination Traps
If you find yourself struggling with procrastination, you're not alone. So many of my clients come to me when they are having a hard time getting started - and staying - on track towards their goals.
But did you know that your nervous system plays a role in regulating your ability to focus and get things done?
The Procrastination Trap: Why We Do It and How to Break Free
While you might think that your procrastination and lack of motivation is a sign of laziness, the truth is that it's a complex physiological phenomenon rooted in your nervous system regulation. And your feelings of shame and self-blame are only perpetuating the cycle and keeping you locked in that energy.
Reflecting on the year that was
What changed? What gave me the courage to throw caution to the wind and follow my dreams?
I did the self-work.
I dove deep. I faced the aspects of myself I had been shamed for, and had disowned.
I examined the unconscious beliefs that were running the show, sabotaging my decisions and my choices.
You deserve to live the life you dream

It’s time to unravel your limiting beliefs and become the leader this world needs
Limiting beliefs are the stories you tell yourself that prevent you from living the life you truly desire.
These are often subconscious programmings that stop you from applying for that job, sharing your ideas in a meeting or putting yourself forward for that project because you think you’re not good enough.
A breakup letter to the old patriarchal corporate structure
The #greatbreakup. It’s happening.
Women leaders everywhere are leaving the corporate sector at unprecented rates. I could throw the stats at you, but I won’t bore you with what you already know.
It comes down to this: we’re done.
5 signs that you’re an intrapreneur
An intrapreneur often has many of the same characteristics – they are innovative, driven, solutions focused and passionate. The key difference is they are using their skills to create change within the system.
Not everyone is an entrepreneur
Not everyone is an entrepreneur and not everyone needs to be or wants to be - and we need to start celebrating that.
Set yourself up for a successful week
Sundays have become vitally important to me. I’d go so far as to even say my Sunday ritual is sacred. Now that I’ve stepped into a higher leadership position in my corporate role, balancing my time and energy has become more important than ever.
5 easy mindfulness techniques you can use right now
A lot of how we cope with and experience stress is due to our ‘stress threshold’. We develop our stress threshold in-utero. Our genetic makeup contains individual personality traits as well as our tolerance to stress, which can be impacted by our mother’s stress levels during pregnancy.
Understanding the Nervous System
Our nervous system is the communication system that regulates our body. It consists of the brain, spinal cord and sensory organs, as well as every nerve that connects these organs with the rest of the body.
The one simple practice you need to start today if you’re serious about improving your mental health
Even if you’re broke, have just been dumped and lost your job, (all of which I was going through at the time) you can practice gratitude and watch how the things around you start to shift. Start by focusing on something small. Like feeling grateful that you can flick a switch and have the lights turn on. Or that you can simply turn of the tap and have clean drinking water.
Breaking the bias this International Women’s Day
With the theme of this International Women’s Day being around breaking the bias, it’s important as women that we look at the role we are unconsciously playing in perpetuating the cycle of unconscious bias keeping us out of positions of influence.
Let’s reframe how we think about our ‘purpose’
We’ve been tricked into believing that our ‘purpose’ is aligned to something that we have to do. So we have continued to perpetuate the toxic cycle of the hustle culture. We’ve abandoned one addiction (hustling to get ahead in the corporate world), for another (hustling to get ahead on our spiritual journey).
F*#k playing by the old rules, it’s time to change the game
An American study found that women are still likely to be doing 4 hours of unpaid work at home, compared to men who are contributing on average 2.5 hours.
Yet, we, as women still expect ourselves to be hitting the home runs in the office and juggle our roles as dutiful mothers, daughters, wives. And for what, exactly?
Starting your spiritual practice
The trick with starting and maintaining a spiritual practice is to start small. If you’re like me, and you’re not a morning person, don’t set yourself a lofty goal to wake up at 5am. It won’t happen, you’ll feel like you’re letting yourself down when you hit snooze for the fifth time, and you’ll undo the work that you intended. Trust me. I’ve been there.
On Choosing Faith Over Fear
In our journey from childhood into adulthood we’re often taught to silence our intuition with logic, to use our rational mind to make decisions and ignore that inner voice or calling gently leading us down one way or another to fulfil our soul path.
The Other F Word
Forgive. Not because the way they treated you was okay but because you deserve to be free from the pain. Be gentle with yourself and know that forgiveness happens in layers.
Turning pain into purpose
When you ask, it is always given. So when things started to fall apart, when the anxiety and pain was so much that I could barely function, I turned to the Universe for help. I found a therapist to work on my attachment traumas, and I found healers and teachers that helped me turn my pain into something that was beautiful.
Work with me
If you are feeling called to tap into your intuition and develop a deeper understanding of your purpose, allow me to lead you on this journey. I will guide you through the various tools and techniques I have learned, to help you heal the imbalance within your sacred feminine and masculine energy, and find your way back to your most authentic self.
